Amazon is gearing up for a significant hiring spree across Southern California, aiming to fill thousands of new positions. The e-commerce giant is looking to hire over 3,000 seasonal workers in key areas such as Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Anaheim. Statewide, Amazon plans to add around 30,000 full-time, part-time, and seasonal roles.

The starting pay for these seasonal positions is set at $18 per hour, with employees gaining access to benefits like healthcare from their first day on the job. Amazon offers a variety of roles. Also, seasonal workers have the opportunity to transition into full-time positions. Additional benefits include flexible schedules, vision and dental insurance, a 401(k) with company match, up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave, mental health support, and financial services.

For those in full-time roles, Amazon provides paid tuition assistance to help employees earn college degrees or certificates. The company is investing $2.2 billion in additional pay for fulfillment and transportation workers, which will bring the average total compensation to more than $29 per hour when accounting for elected benefits.

Amazon is also looking forward to welcoming back many familiar faces, as many seasonal employees return year after year. The holiday season is a crucial time for Amazon, creating numerous job opportunities for those looking to earn extra money or start a career with the company.

Across the United States, Amazon aims to hire around 250,000 new full-time, part-time, and seasonal workers. Interested applicants can browse current openings and submit applications online or sign up for job alerts by texting NEWJOB to 31432.
